Round Top Cafe

Round Top Cafe is a Texas country bistro serving gourmet comfort food. It is located in Royers, TX, a town between Austin and Houston with a population of 81. It was opened by Bud “the pieman” Royer and his wife, Karen Royer in 1987. Their son JB and his wife took over the cafe in 2016 and continue the tradition and elevated the food with new menu additions like this beloved Texas Trash Pie.

How to Make Authentic Texas Trash Pie

This dessert is super easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. In a large bowl, combine graham crackers crumbs, chocolate chips, caramel bits, pretzels, shredded coconut, chopped pecans, melted butter, and sweetened condensed milk with a silicone spatula. Spread the pie filling mixture into an unbaked pie crust. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
